For these few cases where we do not have a direct relationship with service providers can we deliver a smaller icon size?  256 x 256px or 128px.  Part of the issue is that the master icon library was developed based on 512x512.

How large are icons in SqueezeServer, formerly SC?

We'll use the same set of icons everywhere.  Current ones are 336x336.  I'm ok with smaller than 512, I think the largest we ever display these is only 150x150 or something.

336x336 is the pre-scaled size for all the icons.  What are the icon sizes that are actually displayed in the software?  I was not involved with the development of SC.

The icons are displayed at various sizes in various places.

I think the LMA icon should not have the text from their logo.  Can  
you just isolate the temple?

FYI, icons on mysb will display at 34x34 and 100x100.  

I wouldn't get terribly worried about icons at SC at this point since the relevant screen (the in-browser media player) is getting a redesign right after 7.4 goes out the door...

One of the issues with this approach is that the logo communicates "Library" or "Government Office."  It is primarily a result of LMA's choice to use classic architecture-i.e. the Partheon.  

I am a little apprehensive about editing LMA artwork in this manner.

I think that this is a good solution.  The IA is a non-profit with  
little energy for their brand design.  This is a good, recognizable  
logo that will work for now.

So are we ok with having multiple sizes in the MasterIcons directory? 

Icon prior to scaling:

512px - default icon size

256px - case by case basis for service providers with poor artwork quality or no source artwork?

Yeah that's fine with me.

Noah: You said the icon should be 256 but it's really only 128.  Can you checkin the bigger version?

Due to the original artwork resolution 256px will not work for LMA.  It will have to be 128px (for the isolated temple) or 256px using the standard icon.

Oh, hmm 128x128 is probably too small.  We may be OK for now as I don't think this icon is shown as cover art while playing an LMA track, but it's definitely too small if we ever wanted to use it there.
