Description James Craig 2005-04-02 10:37:31 UTC
I have a track with the artist tag set to 'Keren Ann' and the
band/orchestra/accompaniment tag sent to 'KEREN ANN'.

The artist appears in SlimServer in capitals - should't do!

You can't even access this tag in iTunes, I'd never seen it before.
I believe the track has ID3V1.1 and ID3v2.3 tags set.
(I have the 'Don't include composer' option set as well)

James - could you upload this file to the bug?

What revision of the server are you using?
Comment 2 James Craig 2005-04-03 23:51:21 UTC
It's the nightly from 2nd April.
I added some more tracks by the same artist, this time without the 'band' tag
and now all artist or band tags are displayed 'Keren Ann' even the all caps ones!
Will attach the original problem track.

This is ostensibly correct behavior, we treat the same name with different caps as one artist. It's
essentially random which one gets picked. I suggest you use a tagging program to fix the tag.

This bug was marked resolved in Slimserver 6.1, which is several versions ago. If you're still seeing this bug, please re-open it. Thanks!
