Description doug 2009-07-14 18:25:41 UTC
Limited to the root of the home dir, ie: /home/dglenn It will not look further for music, nor will it allow me to change the playlist dir either. This is not workable. I want playlists where I want them, not in the root of my home directory.

This is with the 7/13/09 build of Squeeze Center.

Files are in /home/dglenn/Documents/mp3

Does not find any music files. There are several thousand.
Comment 1 Andy Grundman 2009-07-15 07:51:17 UTC
Well that's weird, do you mean you can't set the root of your music dir to that path, or it won't scan past 2 levels deep within there?
Comment 2 doug 2009-07-15 08:22:53 UTC
Correct,
/ -> /home -> /home/dglenn

That is it. I can manually put in the full path, but it reverts back as soon as I hit save. This is in BOTH 7.3 and 7.4

Full path is: /home/dglenn/Documents/mp3 with subdirectories underneath of each individual artist.

Are any symlinks involved?

Negative. I even went and attempted to hack the config file to point to the real areas and it switched it right back.

The entire home drive is one partition and mirrored. (No LVM, just RAID one on /dev/sdb and /dev/sdd) It is one terabyte in size if that could be part of the issue, that the Perl libs can't handle it.

Moving all SQLite-related bugs to 8.0.
Comment 7 Andy Grundman 2011-01-12 12:08:29 UTC
SQLite bugs need to go back to 7.6 target.

Never seen this, please reopen if necessary.

Glad it appears worked out after two years... will give it another go this month and see if it works. Really liked the app, but that two dir limit was a real bummer.

Verified fixed on Windows build 7.6.0, 32398. Will also verify on Linux build.
