Bugzilla – Bug 12808
Incorrect port number in web link
Last modified: 2009-10-05 14:35:42 UTC
The link under Advanced > Web based Interface > Advanced fails to use the correct http port. The server is still running on the default port 9000, but the link is: http://127.0.0.1/settings/index.html
is this running SC from your srvany installation with --prefsdir? Will have to check that it's falling back to 9000 if the prefs file can't be found.
Yes, but what's the difference? The server should know the port that it's listening on.
> The server should know the port that it's listening on. Sure, the server does know. But the control panel can't talk to the server unless it knows on which port to do so. Therefore it's reading the prefs file. Which it can't find if the prefsdir argument is being used.
Sorry, I was mistaken. This was a vanilla installation of the EXE via the Windows installer. It was still running on the default port 9000.
change 12779 - fall back to port 9000 if the httpport can't be read from the configuration. Still would have to know why it fails to read that value in a plain vanilla installtion. But at least this is a better fallback than port 80...
