Description Pikeharmony 2009-07-11 20:13:19 UTC
This has happened to me with several builds.

Usually the next nightly will fix it again.

Today it actually killed the whole process when trying to point to my NAS.

I'm using a Network Storage Model CH3SNAS made by conceptronics.

So right now I can't use the music on my NAS.

Could this be the same problem with paths being saved with doubled backslashes that I reported in bug 12809? SqueezeCenter seems to have no problem with something like:

D:\\music

But I would guess that doubling the backslashes preceding a network machine name may not work as well:

\\\\MyNAS\\shared\\music

You maybe be correct.
I use this the following for m NAS

\\CH3SNAS\Volume_1\Music

Just found a workaround :-).

Use the squeezecenter software settings tab and manually point to the NAS directory.

The software currently does not give you the ability to point to netwrok devices.

Solution copy paste the location and voila problem solved.

Again this is only aworkaround and needs to be fixed

Michael: Could this be an issue with the Control Panel? I have seen this and a few other issues with the control panel working properly lately.

Mostly with the Windows Control panel, the mac one works fine.

What's the exact problem? What are you trying to do? What does happen?
Comment 6 Michael Herger 2009-08-03 05:52:10 UTC
Pikeharmony - please update to the latest nightly build and try again. There was a major bug in the control panel which broke most communication with SC. See bug 13189.
