Description Wadzinski Tom 2009-07-08 08:08:47 UTC
For instance, go to "player name"
The only way to cancel is
1) back back back, deleting until the begin

This type of badness was there when back meant cursor right. You still had to "back back back" but at least the chars weren't deleted, which is probably confusing to the user who just wants to cancel.

Perhaps some sort of obvious cancel is needed?

I noticed this too.

"Cancel" won't fix this problem completely - I had the same problem yesterday when entering an email/password, and it turned out I had misspelled the email address. So I instinctively went backwards through the password, and then email, screens (I know try again/reenter would have been quicker, but I didn't think about that until later).

Let's try this:

press-and-hold on left/back goes back to the previous screen?

This behavior affects entering an Alarm more, in that the menu can not be exited.

the default of 12 will prevent entering correct time, the back arrow fails to get to the '1' to change it to a 0

Short term fix would be to revert the behavior so back arrow is back again and not delete.

A long term fix needs to be discussed by all parties involved.

Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any
player based on that application code. Feel free to move it back if it's
specific to the single original product.

Reset priority before triage.
