r6372 demo now starts after a power up, but, the audio cuts out.

I do hear the 'boot' sound, and the Demo music plays BEFORE the image appears.  But cuts out after 1 sec, then Demo images appear

That's only if it's connected to a SC. If you start it from a factory reset using the easter egg keys, then it works just fine.

In fact, I think that should be the _only_ way to lock it into demo mode. The demo from the menu should be just that, a demo that people can back out of.

This bug has been identified as one that may not be required for MPQ since it now seems clear that MPQ and MP firmwares will be different.  Please comment if you disagree with this assessment.  Thanks!

Ben: it has been decided to remove the In Store Demo as a menu option for the MPQ build.  The demo will only be available via the Front Panel 2 button press for MPQ.

Please remove the menu option.
