For example, under 'app guide', it says, 

    "No Applets Found      >"

The right arrow shouldn't be there since there is nothing to go right into.

FYI, there is a menu item style for this, 'item_no_arrow'. They need to be dealt with on a case-by-case basis however. The default is to have an arrow.

The app guide->No Applets Found instance has been fixed, r6428.

I'm not sure it's feasible to have some magic to change style dynamically to item_no_arrow if the callback is nil or a 'bump', but it's worth considering.
