When playing a 48khz file via the ReadyNAS..SC will play it as a 44.1 file. In turn the song plays slower than normal.

To figure out if this is a ReadyNAS specific problem I went to my XP machine and disabled AAC -> FLAC and AAC-> MP3. Basically SC is not playing AAC files as WAV as it does on the NAS device.

Also disabled MP4 -->FLAC and MP4 -> MP3

The same problem occurred on the XP machine.

Yes. SC assumes that all transcoding that results in PCM (or AIF) is 44100/16/2.

The consequent behaviour is a limitation of running on low-powered hardware such as the ReadyNAS.
