When using Winamp to stream to from SlimServer 
using "http://server/stream.mp3", if on the SlimServer Web interface you click 
on "Player Settings" for the Winamp player, the server crashes.

what is the crash message in the log/event viewer?

I believe this is the playingDisplayMode crash that was fixed a couple days ago
(should be in the nightly?) as bug1225. please confirm
