Description James Richardson 2009-06-29 15:29:25 UTC
When Fab4 has Wierd connection (Eth0) and customer chooses to connect via Wireless (Eth1) then Firmware Upgrade may fail to function properly. Or Fab4 'connection' may act badly.

We need to improve the connection detection / handling better when Wireless is selected and Wired connection is present.

Possibly pop up a dialog box, informing the customer that they have chosen Wireless WHILE a wired connection is available.

May fall into category of Auto-Network detection/selection code

Another symptom...will get connection error 'can't connect' clicking retry (sometimes 2-3 times) will connect the device to wireless

Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any
player based on that application code. Feel free to move it back if it's
specific to the single original product.

I believe this behavior is OK now. I've performed the following test successfully a couple of times on a Fab4 r7397:

- Factory reset
- Select ethernet during setup
- Switch to wireless via Settings - Advanced - Networking
- Update fw via Settings - Advanced - Software Update (to same version r7397)

While fw download is in progress I removed the ethernet cable to make sure it's using the wireless interface.
