"Now Playing" icon refresh artwork, move away from double quarter notes

Created attachment 5367 [details] Ref artwork - illustration when both icons are seen together Propose moving away from double quarter notes to indicate "Now Playing." The double quarter notes are also used in signify albums. This is a convention seen on multiple music devices and software platforms (hence not changing album icon). On Fab4 there are areas where the two similar icons are seen on the same screen. To eliminate confusion suggest using an equalizer icon in it's place. On Fab4 the icon could animate "when playing" in the right titlebar button and potentially in playlists menu options. Regardless of the final direction, distinguishing Now Playing away from albums would be an improvement.
Created attachment 5368 [details] Ref artwork - restyled Now Playing
Created attachment 5369 [details] Ref artwork - no album artwork alternative For the record, it is more important that they not be the same then it is to change one or the other;)
Ah, brilliant. I think the CD/record artwork is great. What better way to say an album without cover art than a picture of a CD case without the insert. :)
I agree with Dean here...
After seeing both in context I went ahead and updated the "CD" style no artwork icon to svn last night. Now Playing symbol will stay as is. I will need to update the other icons that use 2 quarter notes ASAP: My Music - albums Shuffle ablums popup Music Services
This proposal has been corrected. Now Playing = 2 quarter notes. Albums and all other of UI have been updated to use different symbol. Setting status to fixed. Please reopen as you see fit.
