Description Ross Levine 2009-06-25 14:58:19 UTC
7.4 - r27228

Repeated in /var/log/squeezecenter/server.log:

[09-06-25 14:32:54.6153] main::init (321) Starting Squeezebox Server (v7.4, r27228, Thu Jun 25 04:00:39 PDT 2009) perl 5.010000
[09-06-25 14:32:54.6443] File::Next::__ANON__ (212) Warning: /usr/share/perl5/Slim/Plugin/Snow: Permission denied at /usr/share/squeezecenter/CPAN/File/Next.pm line 212.
2009-06-25 14:32:57 SqueezeCenter died. Restarting.

/usr/share/perl5/Slim/Plugin ls -l:

drwx------ 2 root root 4096 2009-06-25 14:52 Snow

Opening these permissions allows SC to start.
Comment 1 Andy Grundman 2009-07-30 19:27:26 UTC
You can reproduce? What package installed a directory that way?
Comment 2 Mark Miksis 2009-07-31 02:28:27 UTC
I am unable to reproduce this with the latest 7.4 deb package on Ubuntu.
Comment 3 Ross Levine 2009-07-31 12:09:01 UTC
I'm also unable to reproduce this with the latest 7.4 on Ubuntu. I originally reproduced this with the .deb file from our nightly download directory.
