After a character has been selected it does not appear in the highlighted window.  For text strings with duplicate characters in a row you should be able to press select twice and not have to rotate the knob to see the same letter again.

After a character is selected the next entry in the highlighted window should be the > submit character, not the previously selected char.

I'm marking this as a WONTFIX. Reopen as you see fit.
