Description bugs_slimdevices_com.10.david939393 2009-06-23 06:04:55 UTC
When computer shut down (no Squeezecenter used), using only SqueezeCenter and listening to french radios (France Info ou BFM), the SqueezeBox wakes up untimely (whereas no clock is programmed) altough it has been Paused on the Controller.
This seems to happen when there is a lost of synchronization with the radio during Pause : a message on the controller then says in French : "Attente de la synchronisation" (ie "Waiting for sync") and when the synchro is back, instead of staying on Pause, the Squeezebox wakes up.

thanks for debugging !

I mean "... using only SqueezeNetwork ..." (and not SqueezeCenter as written first)
Comment 2 Chris Owens 2010-01-25 18:23:20 UTC
My guess is that this was caused by poor network connectivity of the Radio. There are new fixes on their way. In the mean time, I will assign this to QA to monitor.

The pbm seems to have been fixed with the 7.4.1 version (my network / wifi has not been changed)
Thanks

May I suggest that a new version of the controller (hardware) include as many buttons as receivers (at least 2 or 3) to be able to change easyly the control from one receiver to another !

Thanks

I'm marking this as worksforme since it was apparently fixed as a 'side effect' of some other bug.

Thanks for your suggestion about a receiver-select button on the controller! I will pass it along to the people deciding on the specs of our future products!

The 'UI' component is being removed. This bug is being shifted to the appropriate new component.
