Unfortunately, Grooveshark doesn't appear to be very motivated to provide an API or expand their service to other devices. But if you're interested in this, I encourage you to visit those requests above and click the 'I have this idea/question too' button and leave a comment to indicate your interest. If enough people do this then maybe they might change their mind/priorities.

Hey guys, Grooveshark developer here.

If someone would like to work with us on this project I'm sure it would be appreciated. It will have to be a VIP-only feature if it is developed, at least for now.

I've thought about poking at this myself because it seems like it would be darn cool to have Grooveshark on a device like this, and maybe it would give me an excuse to buy one, but the wiki docs are a bit daunting for something I don't really have any time to work on. I don't really know what's old deprecated crap and what's current, what the difference is between SqueezeCenter and SqueezePlay, whether we'd be developing a plugin or something else entirely.

If someone would like to hold my hand through the getting started process and point me in the right direction for what kind of thing we need to make for the kind of service that we offer, I might still take this on as a side project, but if someone wants to go at it with access to our API and such, it would probably go a lot faster. :) Please contact me at jay at grooveshark dot com if you're interested. Just found this thread and wanted to add my vote for adding Grooveshark support to Squeezebox Server. I have several Squeezeboxes around the house and would love to have Grooveshark available. I am a Grooveshark VIP member and occasionally use it on my PC and Android phone, but I mostly use Pandora on my Squeezeboxes.

Another vote for grooveshark in squeezebox!

This would be a wonderful addition to my Squeezebox Classic setup. Grooveshark is a wonderful service and Squeezebox's are a great product - these guys need to work together! It gets my vote!

There's a pretty good grooveshark addon for xbmc now, which might make a good starting place for a squeezebox plugin.

Grooveshark on the entertainment center laptop is our #1 most used piece of software, by far. Its radio and sharing functionality and strong library make it indispensable to us. 

PLEASE build an integration with Squeezebox!

I'd love a high resolution music streaming service.  Grooveshark is one.

I agree with all the comments and Grooveshark would be a fantasic addition to SB Server

I use Napster via Squeezebox and have gradually expanded from Classic, to Duet and Radio. Apart from the BBC iPlayer, the major missing killer Plug-in is Grooveshark. It would be great to have this facility in Squeezebox, please.

As one of the early adopters of Squeezebox, I'd really like this feature.  I love my Pandora on SB.

I am sad and somewhat surprised to find there's not a grooveshark plug-in already.

I am frustrated ... a little over a year ago a Grooveshark developer offered to assist in this forum without any response.   

The sad thing is...  adding grooveshark capability just has the potential to enhance people's usage of the device and serve as viral marketing.   I have a LOT of squeezebox devices and lately, find myself using my computer with grooveshark (even though I have hundreds of CDs)because it is sooo easy to create playlists and such (versus the squeezebox interface which is too slow for me)

Disappointed with Logitech on this point.

Hope we will have soon a support of Grooveshark on our Squeezeboxes!

A Grooveshark app would be a great addition to the Squeezebox library of apps.  Unlike Pandora, Rhapsody, MOG, etc, in Canada, I can still use this service, and would like to enjoy it through my stereo via the Squeezebox Touch.

As Grooveshark is not available in Germany anymore, and since it took more than 2 years to no avail, I'm no longer interested in having Grooveshark. There are a lot of better options, and they are fully backed (=legal).

I've just purchased my 2nd Squeezebox and have now signed up for Grooveshark Premium. I'd love to see a Grooveshark app for my Squeezebox!

I voted for the importance of this bug some time ago, but lately i signed up for Spotify Premium, and it seems to work great!!

Since Grooveshark and the Danish music industry hasn't come to terms, all Danish service providers will most likely soon be forced to DNS block Grooveshark which will render it unusable by common Danes (the same has already happened to TPB):
