Description Julius Dauz 2009-06-16 11:01:59 UTC
Customer has a router that will shut off its wireless signal if all devices requesting a wireless connection from that router stop their request basically disabling all wireless signal when not in use.

Customer would like to have an option on his Squeezebox to turn off its wireless capabilities when not in use.

Is this even possible to do?
Comment 2 Jim McAtee 2009-06-30 15:35:30 UTC
It's (supposedly) done when wired ethernet is used.
Comment 3 Chris Owens 2009-07-06 09:25:29 UTC
Unfortunately the SB2/3 architecture does not allow this. Some users have hacked together ways to completely power down their players, such as switches in the power supply line, or using a power strip switch on a squeezebox that's plugged in.
