Bugzilla – Bug 12341
One touch playing for Playlist - not working
Last modified: 2011-11-06 23:23:36 UTC
With a playlist such as below as a Favorites. On Web, Squeezeplay and SB3 - pressing play will add all items to playlist and start playing (i.e. on web ther e is a play icon on RHS, on SB there is a note symbol). On Fab4 - touching the playlisty name and user is moved into playlist and left in the playlist showing the items. The playlist doesn' play and rhere is no "Play All" option. If the playlist file is modified such that 2nd level outline entries are removed and there is an "url=" entry pointing to another file with the outline entries. The playlist works just like web, Sb etc. interfaces. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <opml version="1.0"> <head title="Playlist Bug Test"> <expansionState></expansionState> </head> <body> <outline text="News Playlist" type="playlist"> <outline text="WMHT" url="http://live.str3am.com:2070/" type="audio"/> <outline text="BBC World News Summary" url="http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/meta/tx/nb/summary5min_au_nb.asx" type="audio"/> <outline text="NPR NEws Summary" url="http://thin.npr.org/dmg.wax?getNewsCast=true&NPRMediaPref=WM" type="audio"/> <outline text="WNYC 2" url="http://wnyc2.streamguys.com/wnyc2" type="audio"/> </outline> </body> </opml>
Tom: is this one yours or Ben's to fix?
Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any player based on that application code. Feel free to move it back if it's specific to the single original product.
Reset priority before triage.
this bug is fab4-specific, retargetting
I think this is TinySC only so I am adding the keyword. Change if this is not correct.
Not TinySC specific
I think this is by design? I assume you're talking about a user playlist (i.e. my music -> playlists -> [playlist name]) and not the "current playlist" (the now playing queue). The new "press-to-play" behavior should work as follows: -pressing the playlist item should take you into the playlist -pressing item x inside the playlist should: - clear the "current playlist" - add all items from the playlist into the "current playlist" - begin playing track x - ff would skip to track x+1, etc. please correct me if I'm misunderstanding the bug
No I am talking about an OPML playlist which is not a user playlist. The same playlist behave differently depending if it is constructed using a one or 2 files - it should behave the same way. Did you try out the file I suggested.
