Description Jim McAtee 2009-06-10 14:55:54 UTC
At http://mysqueezebox.com/user/login

If you return to this page (or if you log out), instead of populating the email field for logging in, the form populates the email field for creating a new account. This is backwards. If in the past you've been logged in to SqueezeNetwork, then you're not very well going to create a new account using the same email address.

In fact, why is the sign up form shown at all on the login screen for a returning user?

IMHO this is a browser "feature". If you've logged out, then SN doesn't know who you are. It doesn't populate anything. Plus the SN web site is completely redone right now. The signup form won't be there any more.

It's trivial to set a cookie remembering the user's email and then populate the email field in the login form (a "remember me" feature).

The browser won't populate the fields in the sign up form if you explicitly set blank values.

I trust that the new site will handle these issues correctly.
