this is odd.  the visualizer doesn't kick in after you hit play, but it does
once you move to a different menu (like pressing left to go to SB2 Home)...

STR (using r2788):
- update firmware by holding down brightness
- let player reboot and reconnect
- press play on the persistent playlist and note visualizer is off.
- (you can also press now playing a bunch of times, but the visualizer doesn't
come on, it just cycles through the progress indicators w/o a visualizer)
- press left to go to the main menu and visualizer shows up...
