Description James Richardson 2009-06-04 14:30:52 UTC
Plugging an audio cable into the line in then moving the cable about is very nosily and causes much static to be heard on the internal speaker or headphone jack

James, have you tried this on different units? I.e. is this a loose connector?

Is it 60Hz hum pickup?

Is the other end of the cable plugged into anything?

with r6023 its even worse, now when I plug in the cable there is a really loud 60Hz hum. Only happens when the other end is attached to a Source

James: Please reopen if you can reproduce this

I got this problem on a PB1 unit r6633. When testing some powered speakers to headphone socket - lots of crackles not hum especially if I rotated the cable. After reboot sound is OK.
