Description Dirk Bergstrom 2005-03-28 22:35:30 UTC
When playing an album of mp3s downloaded from www.emusic.com, part of the first
song plays (~45 seconds), then it jumps to the last song, then it stops. This
happens on two different albums, and doesn't happen with 5.41.

slimserver.log of the problem.

This is a logfile trace of the problem, taken from 6.0-20050327. I downloaded
the official 6.0 release while writing the bugreport, and verified that the
problem affects it as well.

all this seems to show is that you have a bad string somewhere (SETUP_D_MP)
and that your buffer is starving out.

try d_source as this does give a better track on actual playback, slightly
higher level than the micromanaged communications protocol (d_slimproto)

Dirk - could you upload the mp3 in question to this bug?

Also - please upgrade to the 6.0.1 release, to make sure it still occurs.

Thanks.

The problem has gone away. Either because I did an `emerge world`, or because
6.0.1 cured it. Or maybe I was on crack. Anyhow, I'm closing the bug. Sorry
for the trouble.
