Bugzilla – Bug 12227
Controller doesn't wake consistently from suspend with r5922
Last modified: 2009-09-08 09:12:43 UTC
On Friday I started an 8 controller test, 4 controllers had 5922 and all 4 of these controllers wouldn't wake from suspend after about 3-4 hours.
For Steven and myself, it appears this has something to do with the home button. Both Steven and I can consistently reproduce this while pressing the home button when the Controller is in suspend. Pressing the home button, or any button, or spinny or accelerometer movement, controller should wake from suspend. What I'm seeing is pressing any button other than home, or spinny, or accelerometer movement, controller wakes as it should. If the controller is in suspend and I press the home button, not only does the controller not wake but at this point it is stuck and no button or movement will wake it, only removing the battery! Richard says he can't reproduce, and serial output is useless showing nothing after "Suspending console(s)". Might need to wait until next week and show Richard in person.
Fixed 7.3 r6036.
