Description Weldon Matt 2009-05-19 11:21:20 UTC
I'm literally sitting (in my cubicle) directly underneath the access point (about 10 feet away) that uses SqueezeTest, SqueezeDemo, and cordless.

Looking at the "Choose Network" screen, I see 2 major problems:

- the signal strength of SqueezeDemo, SqueezeTest and cordless are constantly fluctuating, sometimes to zero bars!!!

- more alarming perhaps is that the signal strengths are often different! One will show 1 or 2 bars, another zero at the same time.

Something odd is going one here, Dean also observed this behavior on my device and asked me to file the bug.

I have a slight suspicion that this is somehow related to bug 12039, though I'm not educated enough to be sure... https://bugs-archive.lyrion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12039

Changing target to next major milestone (since MPQ & MP have been reached already)

Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any player based on that application code. Feel free to move it back if it's specific to the single original product.

Can you confirm whether you are still seeing this? There have been a few
changes related to wireless. Also, please try with a PB1 and PB2 unit (or have
QA do so)

Haven't noticed these issues in a while; it's probably a Mtn View network issue.
