Description ndijulio 2009-05-14 13:07:37 UTC
Animation should not bump or drag the titlebar down when nav. to the top and bottom of a list. The titlebar and toolbar (when present) are fixed elements on screen. They are static and should not move/animate. When navigating through a list you are manipulating the content area only. For this reason, the content area should animate with all other elements remaining fixed on screen.

We are up against very strong, accepted, and established conventions from the iPhone. If we are going to mimic this functionality, we should strongly consider correcting the animation or removing it entirely.

In addition, if we keep the bump the animation should be repeatable if the user does multiple screen drags at the top or bottom. Put another the way, the screen should bounce for every finger drag.

Agreed with Noah on this. Generally I like the bump, but it should be confined to the menu itself, since that's what you're dragging.
Comment 3 Ben Klaas 2009-05-14 15:05:38 UTC
I agree with Noah and Weldon as well. However, I think the implementation of a menu only bump will be a fair bit trickier. Personally I'd prioritize this very low with the workaround being no bump at all. Or a super loud beep.

okay, kidding about the beep.

Bump just the content, not the whole screen
Comment 5 Richard Titmuss 2009-07-27 01:11:21 UTC
Reset priority before triage.

Tom this is done, right?
Comment 7 Jim McAtee 2009-12-02 20:59:13 UTC
Still bumps the whole screen. As an interim fix, how about not bumping so dramatically?
Comment 8 Chris Owens 2010-05-06 15:47:25 UTC
Tom is no longer available to us

Unassigned bugs cannot have a priority.
