Description Kevin Pearsall 2005-03-25 14:53:13 UTC
this is a bad bad bug.

STR:
- queue up one flac song
- let it play for like 10 seconds
- hold down RWD so that it starts rewinding
- it will go back past the beginning of the song (counter may read as low as 00:-32)
- watch graphics get all jacked up
Comment 1 Kevin Pearsall 2005-03-25 14:55:32 UTC
reproduced in r2733.

there are some serious audio glitches when this happens as well. nasty sharp
noises...

player has to be hard reset in order to look proper again.
Comment 2 Kevin Pearsall 2005-03-25 15:02:11 UTC
this also seems to reset the player to factory default, and reset the MAC
address to ff:ff:c0:ff:ff:ff, uhhh
Comment 3 Blackketter Dean 2005-03-25 15:10:52 UTC
Vidur's on it.
Comment 4 Kevin Pearsall 2005-03-25 15:27:51 UTC
graphics don't seem to get messed up if the visualizer is disabled when you do
this... but the player does eventually crash or something (display goes black
and you can't do anything w/o a hard reset)
Comment 5 Vidur Apparao 2005-03-25 18:55:56 UTC
Server fix checked in. The RWD behavior is still not perfect (because of the
large SB2 output buffer), but we now correctly skip back to the previous song
and, more importantly, don't crash hard.
Comment 6 Vidur Apparao 2005-03-26 08:42:17 UTC
RWD behavior even better now. Closing this as fixed.
Comment 7 Kevin Pearsall 2005-03-28 15:55:11 UTC
Couldn't reproduce the problem over the weekend.
