Description Anoop Mehta 2009-04-17 12:56:05 UTC
After Selecting SC or SN..SBR goes white and updated firmware. SBC begins firmware update but is stuck on spinning animation.

A15 from Duet Setup Failure Point Doc.

Any luck reproducing? A log or serial capture would be very useful. Does controller display any percentage during this bug?
Comment 2 James Richardson 2009-04-30 20:22:03 UTC
Here is a log from my controller, attempting to update from 7.3.3 r5225 to 7.3 r5549.

It got to about 29%, locked up (spinny stopped) then rebooted

it did this about 4 times, I still can't update via SC & wireless network

Comment 4 Chris Owens 2009-05-04 09:17:32 UTC
James notes that 1 time in 4 it rebooted. The other 3 times it was on the spinny forever.

Anoop, does support have a reliable workaround for this? Thanks!
Comment 5 James Richardson 2009-05-04 09:19:38 UTC
Just to clarify my comment 2, the 'reboot' only happened once (about 3 min into update). The other 3 times Spinney would go on for >5 min before I pulled battery and started over.
Comment 6 Anoop Mehta 2009-05-04 13:08:36 UTC
The only workaround that support has is to do a factory reset on both the Controller and the Receiver.

If multiple factory resets do not work..then we resort to an SD card.

User in this thread says he had same issue but could upgrade once he stopped and restarted SqueezeCenter.
