Bugzilla – Bug 11833
Scanner scans wrong music folder after SC upgrade
Last modified: 2009-10-05 14:27:07 UTC
(using SC 7.4 26010 - Mac w/10.5) I upgrade to 26010 this morning. I did not uninstall the previous version. I installed on top of the old one. I'm seeing some strangeness in the Library afterwards. My music folder is: /Users/daniel/Music/Files But there is a TON of music in my music Library that is one folder UP from my defined folder. Example: /Users/daniel/Music/FLAC_test/Orbital/Snivilisation/Orbital - Duck Feet.flac So... My guess is even though SC is correctly getting the old Pref file and correctly listing my music folder as /Users/daniel/Music/Files, but that it's actually scanning in the default music folder /Users/daniel/Music/. I performed a "Clear & Rescan Everything" and the Library contained what it should contain afterward.
Do you see traces in scanner.log that a rescan would have been triggered after the update? Can you reproduce it?
Dan: can you retest this with the latest version of 7.4, Andy feels this has been fixed
Yes, this appears to be fixed now. Tested with yesterdays build and updated to today's, r27388. Music folder was read in correctly.
