Description James Richardson 2009-04-15 16:40:21 UTC
When connecting to an AP that has DHCP, but NO connection or very poor onnection to mysqueezebox.com, the fab4 gets into an unstable loop that is not obvious to the user, on how to break out. We should provide a more options on what to do in this state

=========================
Setup > Language > Welcome > Region > Network Type (Wireless) > Choose Network > error = Can't Connect // it appears your internet connection is not working. please heck your network to make sure it is connected and running properly. // Try Connecting Again > will try again and display same message

ERROR happens when clicking the Left Arrow to go back to > Choose Network. Instead of going back, Fab4 attempts to connect again to the broken AP. There is no user selectable way to break out of this state.
[Note: Long-Hold of Left does send break out command to firmware setup menu]

We should trap for this condition, then offer more selections to the customer on what to do. I.E. connect to a Local Server, Select another Network, Start Over...

Note: Soft Reboot / Power Cycle does not help, as it takes the user back to 'connecting' page

1) factory reset fab4
2) remove internet from lan/wlan
3) verify AP has DHCP
4) walk through setup on Fab4, connecting to AP with DHCP but no connection to internet
5) when getting to 'can't connect' page on Fab4, click Back Button (Left Arrow upper left corner)
Notice that the Fab4 will 'connect' again, and fail, to the same AP. Not go back to 'Select Network' page

"Select Different Network" should work for most/all cases I would think if it redirects to the "choose wireless/wired" screen.
