Description James Richardson 2009-04-15 13:31:28 UTC
>> Radio 538 (Hilversum, Netherlands) (129 kbps)
    http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s6712&partnerId=16

It is now playing the 24kbps VBR stream first instead of the 128kbps stream. It used to play the 128kpbs stream first.

This is a bad User Experience, as the customer doesn't know RadioTime is serving the wrong stream, they think SqueezeBox is just playing bad audio

According to RadioTime:
==============
"The station has multiple streams with varying bitrates. Squeezebox users can switch between them by pressing the Fwd (>>) button."

==============
The FF function is not switching the stream as it should.
Comment 1 Andy Grundman 2009-04-15 13:37:21 UTC
This is mostly a RadioTime problem, they need to serve the best stream first in the list.
Comment 2 James Richardson 2009-04-15 13:57:30 UTC
We need to present the customer with options when more then one stream is available
Comment 3 Blackketter Dean 2009-04-15 14:45:14 UTC
Has this been escalated to RT?
Comment 4 James Richardson 2009-06-09 13:37:12 UTC
RadioTime is aware of this and working with Andy to provide these options.
