Description Mickey Gee 2009-04-14 15:19:40 UTC
The MAC address for any player, not just Fab4, should be stored in two places in flash. These two places should be in two physically separate flash blocks. This would allow failure of one of the bad flash blocks storing the MAC address, and increases the yield in the factory for Fab4 units.

The code would just go look in the second location. Of course, if both flash blocks were bad then that Fab4 would still be rejected.

These locations would be a fixed block locations in the flash.

This functionality needs to be extended to Baby.
Comment 2 Richard Titmuss 2009-07-14 11:06:59 UTC
Mac address is duplicated in fab4 and baby.
