I would like to have a Line Out mode on the Squeezebox Boom where the output level is fixed (i.e. is not coupled to the main volume).

Use Case: I have the Boom in my bedroom and an old-fashioned stereo in the adjacent living room, so I connected the line out of the Boom to that stereo. 

If this can be archived by server-side changes only, I can fix it myself. But this probably needs a firmware change, right?

Caleb what are your thoughts on this?  is it possible to do in hardware?

It's certainly possible in hardware.  It's a matter of prioritizing.    Sent back to unassigned for prioritization.

It won't happen in 7.4 for sure.
