Description James Richardson 2009-04-01 08:30:23 UTC
When browsing the Napster Library, there is no way to 'play' any Genre / Artist / Playlist that has been saved.

The Play All / Play button is missing
Clicking on the resulting tracks will simply bump the screen

It's not just stuff in the Library. If i do a search for a track, there is no way to play it. I have to go the the Album its in and 'play all' then skip to the track i want.

this is an administrative shuffle on priority fields to help make better judgment on the top end of the priority list. P4->P5, P3->P4, and P2->P3.

Andy: Since this is on the SP device, are you the right person for this bug?
Comment 4 Andy Grundman 2009-09-30 06:07:22 UTC
Is this still valid since we've made some changes to this? i.e. "Play All" no
longer exists.

Not valid since press-to-play changes were added for XMLBrowse items

I tested this with up-to-date firmware

Pressing play from Album plays the album
Pressing play or go from track loads the full track list and starts from that track

Pressing play on an artist or genre never did anything, but that's no different than Rhapsody, and while perhaps suboptimal not really a regression.

I don't like the search tracks behavior IRT press-to-play behavior, which is to do a full load on the search list and start playing on the selected track. That's not at least what I'd want it to do. The flip side of this is that I'm loathe to hack in yet another special case in XMLBrowser for this.

Verified fixed in 7.4.1 r28825 & SBC r7847
