Description Avi Schwartz 2005-03-22 10:07:11 UTC
2005-03-21 nightly build.

I set up softsqueeze to connect via a SSH gateway (i.e. tunneled) and got
everything working. Next time when starting sofsqueeze, the connection fails.

When bringing up the setup dialog, the slimserver address shows as reverting
back to 127.0.0.1. Looking at the configuration file
(com.slim.softsqueeze.plist on the Mac) shows that the server address was stored
correctly so I would guess that the problem is that it is not read properly from
the configuration file.

Richard, what's the status on this?

I cannot recreate this bug. It would be useful to see the contents of the
configuration file. Could you please attach it to this bug, or if you prefer
send it to me at richard.titmuss@gmail.com. Thanks.

Thanks for the config file. A couple more questions:

Can you reconnect when set the slimserver address correctly?
Do you have a local version of the slimserver running on the same Mac that
Softsqueeze is running on?
Does the correct slimserver address appear in the drop down menu, just not as
the default option.

Well, I just removed the softsqueeze application and the corresponding
configuration file. Reninstalled softsqueeze from the latest nightly and now it
works fine.
