Looking closely at the button images (like https://bugs-archive.lyrion.org/attachment.cgi?id=4850 ) I see that the  translucent inset area around the edge is ok on the top and bottom, but seems to be too narrow at the corners.  I think you are trying to make it a single pixel wide, but at the corners it's not working.  Can you take a look?

Are you still seeing this issue?  The button assets have been reviewed, revised, and issued since the initial posting.

It's definitely better with the new assets.  The highlight on the edge is a bit too harsh on the device screen (less so on the the laptop screen). 

I'd tone down the light highlight and the dark shadow.  This should also improve the appearance on light backgrounds.

This has been resolved for some time.  Please reopen if it is still an issue.
