pandora allows seeking within track which won't work

instead, should just display some friendly notice "Sorry, Pandora does not support seeking within a track."

Actually, the slider should just not be able to be dragged at all.

Yes, it should check the canSeek flag for the current track.

We should also add a canSeekError field to the status record so that a suitable error message can be displayed when attempting to seek in an unseekable track (also for Jive).
