Bugzilla – Bug 11365
Artwork for flac files
Last modified: 2009-04-13 11:42:02 UTC
Customer wants and enhancement to the way SC read artwork associated with Flac files. He has tried the instruction on this links http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Album_Artwork, but he thinks this a tedious work to rename each artwork file to cover.jpg or cover.gif etc…. Is there any way that he can keep the artwork files with their original names and scanner picks them up? RN = 090314-000826
what are the file names of his artwork files? SC Settings > Advanced > Formatting > Artwork > InfoBox has a good explanation on how the customer can add custom artwork images based on his format
Hello, Here is what I answered to Osama about your question. My answer to that is: the names are as supplied by Winamp. They usually are the name of the album with .jpg extension. So my request is simply: read in whatever name with a jpg extension to generate the cover art. Even better, you could resize automatically, so that we could also input some of our own images (cover scan , screen grabs etc...) without having to resize them manually Thank you

fyi winamp uses whatever the tag says for the album name, so it isn't always perfect. i basically suggested the same thing in 9919, but i would also suggest to the user that he can easily open the folder, and copy the file renaming it to Folder.jpg right from the winamp ML. afterall, winamp only lets u get art one album at a time. i find it important to have an art dupe in each folder in case of virus attack or WMP tries to redo it, and my method works with windows explorer and WMP, as well as winamp.
