The default screensaver timing is very short.  I believe the current setting is around 10sec.  Proposal to have a 30sec-1 minute by default.  This would require less refreshing the screen during touch nav.  

In the case of Now Playing once you select play the Now Playing screen would push on eliminating the need for a showbriefly "Now Playing blank."  The screen saver would then transition into "Remote" NP after set time.
