Description ndijulio 2009-03-10 15:32:38 UTC
Currently, when the Flickr screensaver is about to transition on there is small text at the top of the screen "Flickr images loading," and then a glimpse of the background before starting the screensaver.

Option 1:
Load the images in the background and then transition into the screensaver after there are images to view.

Option 2:
Develop an interstitial screen with Flickr logo while images are loading.

Option 3:
Show "Black out" screen while loading and then add a box in transition to start screensaver.

This could be addressed with the new photo viewer application

Ref artwork - Loading page

Simple enhancement based on our interstitial templates. Black background with Flickr logo embedded. Asset in SVN for all platforms.

This bug should be resolved with the addition of the "loading..." screen for all photo viewer's.

Ben - do you have the correct assets you need for the various apps:

Flickr
Facebook
rhymes with Ween (would default to black bkgrd. and no icon)

The assets have the blk. background and the icon embedded. If you need them separated let me know...

Kind of a dupe of the remaining issue in bug 13136: we want to have a nicer looking loading screen.
Comment 6 Ben Klaas 2011-01-14 12:26:03 UTC
this is never going to get priority. closing.
