Description Remy Bohmer 2009-03-07 12:23:05 UTC
I noticed (several weeks now) that during software upgrade, and using the Dutch (Nederlands) language, that many strings are cut off on the screen. (especially since the large fonts got introduced)

String like:
'Update wordt geko' (instead of 'Update wordt gekopieerd')
and
'Update wordt geve' (instead of 'Update wordt geverifieerd')
are visible.
Maybe the strings in plain English are shorter so that this is not seen there.

Short valid Dutch strings could be:
'Kopiëren update...'
'Verifiëren update...'

Also this string:

'Verbinding wordt ge' instead of 'Verbinding wordt gemaakt' directly after power up

Michael: should this be assigned to SLT to fix?
Comment 3 Michael Herger 2009-03-08 10:11:50 UTC
Ben - I think this is a Fab4/SP issue. The screen doesn't use the display's full width, but only (what I guess) Controller's width. And it should probably be scrolling, as we always must expect strings which don't fit. We're heading to Russia now!

This should be better now as the screen template has been adjusted. QA should review the strings when the new translations are back from SLT.
