Description Avi Schwartz 2005-03-18 20:38:47 UTC
When attempting to display the detail of or play a certain album, slimserver
(all the way up to and including the 2005-03-18 nightly build) crashes with a
"Segmentation fault (core dumped)" message.

slimserversql.db, an example track from that album, output from --d_http, and
the output of gdb's "bt" command were provided to Dan Sully.

OS is Linux, Mandrake 10.1.

Tracked (pun intended :-) down the one track causing the crash. Uploaded to
Dan's ftp site. File named 08_por_qu.flac

Avi - I'm unable to reproduce this crash with the track you sent on any of the
following systems: WinXP SP1, Debian Unstable, OSX 10.3.8

Do you have another system to try this on by any chance?

Thanks.

No I don't, and I also no longer have the problem. I removed the album
re-ripped and re-tagged it and now it works. But the strange thing is that
bit-by-bit the old version and the new version were the same and yet it does not
crash with the newly ripped tracks. Maybe removing the album from the database
and re-adding it was the secret. I have no idea.

Heh. Ok.

Marking as "Gremlins were in the computer". :)
