Bugzilla – Bug 11218
Alarm woke me up at 3:55 this morning, but was set for 6:55. Time zone issue
Last modified: 2009-10-26 13:57:15 UTC
So, I think I found why some people had an early morning wakeup. It has to do with resetting the time zone. To reproduce the problem: * Set up new boom on SN in daughter's room * Set the alarm for 6:55 AM. * Notice that your real local time is 7:30PM, but the boom says 10:30PM * Change your time zone from New York to San Francisco * Notice that now the boom says the time is 7:31PM. That's good. * Go to bed. * Be alarmed that it's 3:55 in the morning and the Door's, "Break on through to the other side" is blasting in your daughter's room. Luckily she didn't wake up, but you did. :-) My guess is the alarm times are stored in GMT, but are not readjusted during time zone changes. -Caleb
Ah, so changing the time zone after the alarm is already set causes the problem? Should be an easy one.
Could this one be related to https://bugs-archive.lyrion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14888 If so it isn't dependend on changing timezones after the alarm has been set.
