The 'flash of teal' discussed in another bug appears to always be shown in the touch interface, but in the IR interface it's only seen sometimes.

I think it may have to do with the length of time taken to push right.  When it's a longer, the teal highlight is seen, but when the transition is fast, no highlighting is done.

Another thing I sometimes see is that the selection highlighting (gradient) is sometimes lost for a split second (with no teal colored background), and the font falls back to the smaller size before pushing right.
