Description radish 2009-02-26 17:01:14 UTC
I tested a Transcend 8GB JetFlash v10 thumbdrive for USB compatibility. Whilstit works OK and automounts correctly, disconnecting the drive causes a lockup and then reboot within a few seconds. I don't see anything interesting in /var/log/messages.

Sorry - this is with fw r4474.
Comment 2 Sue Chastain 2009-03-23 07:42:28 UTC
Mine locks up and reboots every time an SD card is removed as well. r4875

do you have a /log folder on that drive? it's a known issue that a crash occurs when logging to an external disk

Not to the best of my knowledge. I just tried it again - inserted the completely blank USB drive, it mounted in /media/sda1 (which is a different location than previous firmwares). I created a file on the drive, waited a minute or so and then yanked the drive - instant lock up followed by a reboot a few seconds later. This is with r4875.

Not needed for MP.

Can you confirm if this is now fixed
Comment 7 radish 2009-07-22 08:22:28 UTC
Seems to be OK now with r6642.
