Description James Richardson 2009-02-26 13:17:08 UTC
Power off a Fab4
Insert an SD card
Power on a Fab4
after boot - remove the SD card from the Fab4
watch Fab4 reboot
Comment 1 James Richardson 2009-02-26 13:31:46 UTC
Only happens if there is a 'log' folder on the SD Card

Does not happen with USB device, with or without the 'log' folder

** NOTE **
Adding an SD card AFTER the device is booted will NOT mount that SD card, you must reboot for the SD card to be mounted
Comment 2 James Richardson 2009-02-26 13:58:31 UTC
Reboot = Hard Power reboot
NOT soft Button reboot

================

May have to do with the fact that the mount point mmcblk0p1 is present even if the SD card is not

james: are you sure that the sd card doesn't mount or just that it doesn't log to the log folder. I inserted my SD card (after booting) and it mounted and I could look on the card. The player UI didn't know about it, though...
Comment 4 James Richardson 2009-02-27 07:39:10 UTC
I ssh'd into onto the device, went to /media and saw the mount point
I was able to cd /mmcblk0p1, when I did an 'ls' nothing was displayed

I removed and inserted the card several times just to be sure

As soon as I power cycled the device, the contents of the card showed up

The latest kernel had fixes for this, can you still recreate?
Comment 9 James Richardson 2009-08-28 15:49:51 UTC
Pat: once a bug is marked as fixed, there is no need to reassign it to QA, we will verify the bug automajicaly when the time comes.
