Description Erland Isaksson 2009-02-20 22:12:51 UTC
It would be great if there was a possibility to disable the IR recevier in the Fab4. As it works currently it is impossible to use it in the same room as a SqueezeBox Classic, Boom or Transporter because it will catch the IR commands sent to those devices.

A perfectly reasonable usage of Fab4 is to use it as a touch controller for other Squeezebox devices and to make this possible it has to be possible to make it ignore IR-commands. Minimum it has to at least be possible to switch the Fab4 to a different set of IR codes, for example the JVC codes, but ideally it might be good to offer an option to disable IR altogether.

I think this is a good point, we need parity with SB3 in disabling IR codesets. Felix would this be yours? Or toms?

I believe Tom already has something like this in place, no?

make a choice item - remote /touch - needs to be device specific
