Description Walker LaRon 2009-02-20 15:39:54 UTC
Ticket # 090216-001779

Summary:

Customer would like the ability for the Squeezebox Controller to hold multiple encryption keys for different Wireless Networks.

Environment:

From the customer***

I run two wireless nets in my house, both using the same WEP key, but with different SSIDs. My Duet controller seems to want me to re-enter the WEP key when I move from one net to the other. Can I avoid this annoyance?

****

Thanks,

LaRon

Works for me with WPA. Maybe this is a WEP issue only?
Comment 2 James Richardson 2009-02-23 16:13:47 UTC
QA to investigate WEP limitation.

LaRon: Can you have the customer try WPA as Steven doesn't see this issue using that encryption method

We are now planning to make a 7.3.3 release. Please review your bugs (all marked open against 7.3.3) to see if they can be fixed in the next few weeks, or if they should be retargeted for 7.4 or future.

Thanks!
Comment 4 Chris Owens 2009-03-30 17:20:24 UTC
Since there's now a planned 7.3.3 release, bugs which won't make the cut-off are being moved to the next target out. If you feel that this bug needs to be addressed more (or less) urgently than the 7.4 release, please cc chris@slimdevices.com and leave a comment in the bug to that effect so we can review it.

Thanks.

Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any player based on that application code. Feel free to move it back if it's specific to the original product.

I think this should work, can qa confirm.
Comment 7 Ben Klaas 2009-08-26 07:51:44 UTC
this is an administrative shuffle on priority fields to help make better judgment on the top end of the priority list. P4->P5, P3->P4, and P2->P3.
Comment 8 Spies Steven 2009-10-15 13:04:04 UTC
Works for me with SqueezeboxServer 7.4 and r7790 on Controller.
