Description Mark Miksis 2009-02-19 14:42:45 UTC
I've noticed that the Settings->Advanced->Applet Installer menu item tends to disappear after the SBC has been on for while. This is obviously not an issue now since there are no applets there anyway, but it's probably best to fix it now rather than later. The only way I've found to get it back is to reboot the SBC.

Both Applet Installer and InfoBrowser are dynamically added to the Home Menu (when I say home menu, I mean menus managed by jive.ui.HomeMenu; that includes Settings->Advanced as well as Extras->), and both I see periodically disappear on SBCs in my house.

I've been meaning to look into that and see if there's anything I can do to remedy that situation.

I'll assign this to myself for now.

Still seeing this. I think one of this issues is whether there is an SC instance running when you restart squeezeplay, or if you restart the SC instance does squeezeplay discard the menu entries but never put any new ones back. Its quite repeatable in the latter case.

The other major issue I see for this is that the Extras menu is hard to find for people - are there any plans to make it more visible...?

Moving to the product SqueezePlay because this bug appears to apply to any player based on that application code. Feel free to move it back if it's specific to the original product.

this is an administrative shuffle on priority fields to help make better judgment on the top end of the priority list. P4->P5, P3->P4, and P2->P3.

QA to try to reproduce, with instructions (and times for it to happen)

Ben: is this still a valid menu item given the redesign in 7.4?
Comment 7 Ben Klaas 2009-10-30 09:34:54 UTC
I don't think we offer any way for 3rd party applets to add themselves without this; but to be honest, I have no idea whether this is valid any more.

I think I still see this - if there is no SBS instance running when SP is started then the menu does not showup even if SBS is started later. Could you suggest any alternative ways of adding the menu Ben?

Unassigned bugs cannot have a priority.
