doesn't seem to clear out settings currently...  by holding down add while
plugging power in.

I believe this has been fixed - Dean, can you confirm?

I think I was just mostly unaware of a minor difference in how this has to
happen.  Seems that you have to hit + while the player is starting up, not
holding it down while powering up.  Not sure if that was the discrepancy or
what, but it seems to be working fine now.
