Updating SC via the WHS console does not remove the entry for the previous version from the WHS console settings Installed Addins list.i.e you end up with an entry for each version

Uninstall of the old version from WHS Console tab removes the current version(the only version present)

I just noticed this too. I am on 7.4 so I have 5 or 6 versions listed under "Installed Add-ins" from installing the nightlies.

I also see that all the old msi files are kept in the Software\Add-Ins folder. I guess it should be left to the user if they want to clear these out or not.

WHS Console seems to often be left with stale entries. While I'm trying to fix, there's always the manual way to clean the mess up. http://wiki.wegotserved.com/index.php?title=Manually_Uninstall_a_WHS_Add-in

change 25060 - this issue should now be fixed in 7.3. Please uninstall any previous SC add-on and re-install this build (or later).

Please note that there are other, new issues with 7.4 which aren't fully resolved yet. If you get a message about closing the console, "Ignore" it and restart the Console after the installation has finished.

change 25086

WHS add-ins can't be updated. They have to be uninstalled before an update can be installed. This sucks, but this is how MS wants us to do this. Thus add a message telling the user to uninstall first if he tries to run an update.
